Isabel is a Filipino-Australian writer and content-producer based in Lutruwita / Tasmania.
Her writing has appeared in Mascara Literary Review, ABC and kindling + sage, among other publications.
She produces programs at ABC Radio Hobart.
In 2024, she graduated with First Class Honours in creative writing at the University of Tasmania. Her thesis received the Morris Miller Prize in Australian Literature and the James McAuley Memorial Prize.
As a broad reader with many interests (including, but not limited to, Ottolenghi’s cookbooks, bird-spotting and vampiric myths), Isabel likes to bring diverse elements together in her writing. Above all else, she aims to prioritise the experience of intended readers.
